MORE Proof about how Wasteful Advertising is.
AP = “Swindlers have stepped up their effort to fleece millions of dollars from online advertisers who use lucrative marketing networks run by Google and Yahoo!
The sales referrals generated by clicks on the advertising links popularized by the two Internet powerhouses are a sham 14.1 percent of the time, based on information collected from 1,300 online marketers.
A recently released survey of 407 online advertisers by market-research firm Outsell
estimated click fraud cost advertisers $800 million last year.
I started STONA 101 to back to the beginning.
Some, that post on here, presumably in the Ad/Media industry, try to distort it – SEE BELOW FOR THE DISTORTIONS.
Here are the basic Points –
1. If there was a 5% STONA - Sales Tax on Advertising, it would transfer over $5Billion$ Per year to the states.
2. NV would get at least $300 Million$, per year.
3, TAXES ON INDIVIDUALS COULD BE REDUCED.
4. THE ONLY cost would be 5% LESS Advertising.
1. Consumer cost will be increased.
WRONG – STONA will come from the Company Ad Budgets.
For example – Coca Cola spends $1Million$ per DAY advertising.
Coke would still spend $1Million per day, but 5% would go to the states.
Media buys would be reduced by 5%.
2. There would NO reduction in ads.
WRONG – Of course there would.
3. States would NEVER pass such a law.
WRONG – They don’t call it STONA, but
What Distorters do NOT want discussed is – AD BUDGETS.
They get Ad Budgets and Media Buys confused.
Ad Budgets are set by companies FOR THEIR TOTAL EXPENDITURES ON ADVERTISING.
Media buys are ONLY part of this.
OTHER EXPENSED - that come out of this money are – ad planning, ad preparation, etc. Even the Pencils, and the paper that are used on the ads.
Media buys are ONLY Part of this.
STONA would be a part of that – OTHER EXPENSES – pencils, paper, taxes, etc.
The Tactics that the Distorters use are –
trying to block the discussion.
As you will see – after I post this on the RJ eForum, they will post – some nonsense over it – to block it from others.

Thanks for your interest. If you decide to help get this, at least, $300 Million$ per year, for NV, you have a fight on your hands.Look at the Fight BuSh is having with the NYTimes, and HE is President.
